Potent, intense fruit driven varietal aromas and flavours. The wine has an impressive fruit sweetness which is a terroir characteristic of our grapes.

  • 100% varietal
  • Full-bodied, smooth in texture and structure
  • Rounded tannins
  • Balanced, harmonious with subtle, sweet oak

Tasting Notes:
Rich, ripe, blackberry and chocolate aromas with a hint of mint and a lovely long, smooth yet weighty palate. Intense sweet (not residual sugar) fruit flavours and drying oak tannins. 14.3° Alc.

The Oak:

  • careful oak management is a priority to avoid over-oaking and the consequent masking of the natural fruit flavours.
  • 21 months in 300L hogsheads.
  • 25% new French oak, 75% old French oak.

Winemaking:

  • Open fermenters
  • Gently basket pressed
  • Hand racked to clarity
  • Unfiltered, no fining with foreign substances

Screw cap closure.

Total production:

135 dozen (750ml bottles).
